"Ferris Bueller, You're My Hero..."
Just a quick note that I'm back, at least for a post best filed under "quality of life". I took some time off from blogging to enjoy the summer with my family. In the immortal words of Ferris Bueller, "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."
With that in mind, we took a family vacation in St. Louis, where the weather was absolutely wonderful and a good time was had by all.
Last weekend, I attended a hot air ballon rally, also something I haven't done before. Very cool (the balloons, not the 95+ degree heat!). I captured some nice shots with my Sony H1, a versatile ultrazoom. It's rekindled my interest in photography, and it's easy to see why:
Next up is a Wisconsin camping trip and family reunion, unplugged out of cell phone range and sans laptop. (However, the iPod and digicam are coming along. ;^)
